Job Title: Boiler Operator

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Boiler Operator to join our team at our Soybean processing facility in Mankato. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating all boiler area equipment, nitrogen generation systems, and other related equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of high-pressure steam generation plant equipment and be able to work independently.

Responsibilities
  • Operate all boiler area equipment, nitrogen generation systems, and other related equipment.
  • Conduct minor preventative maintenance and lubrication on equipment, including boilers, vessels, valves, piping, compressors, tanks, and other related equipment.
  • Perform constant inspections of key process points and make necessary machinery and equipment adjustments to ensure correct and safe operation.
  • Preventative maintenance of all machinery and equipment, including greasing and lubrication schedules.
  • Fill chemical tanks as required, including boiler chemicals, cooling tower chemicals, and drum chemicals.
  • Test water, condensate, and cooling tower water and record.
  • Monitor temperatures and pressures on all processes.
  • Perform any duties that may be reasonably assigned.
Requirements
  • Minnesota State 1st Class Engineer- Grade A or B Boiler license.
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Able to operate and regulate boiler plant equipment and make adjustments as required for plant output.
  • Thorough knowledge of the proper operation and maintenance of high-pressure steam generation plant equipment.
  • Recognizes and understands typical boiler control diagrams and their design.
  • Operator has a thorough knowledge of steam safety standards and procedures.
  • Able to identify principles and design concepts governing steam pressure control.
  • Proficiency in the use of a word processing software program.
