About the Role

Arbour Counseling Services, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, is seeking a skilled Utilization Review Coordinator to join our team in Worcester, MA. As a key member of our Partial Hospitalization Program, you will play a critical role in promoting a therapeutic, safe, and supportive environment for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily authorizations, including tracing and managing the process
  • Maintain oversight of Utilization Review for our 8 PHP programs
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for insurance payors
  • Collaborate closely with the ED PHP and PHP Site Directors and Administrators

Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a closely related Mental Health field from an accredited program
  • Prior experience in a higher level of care, such as a psychiatric hospital, residential program, emergency room, etc.
  • LICSW/LMHC preferred but not required
  • Minimum one year of experience in Utilization Review preferred but not required
  • Requires light travel to various clinics in MA
  • Must be proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Must be comfortable with a fast-paced work environment and handling clients in crisis
  • Non-judgmental ability to foster self-sufficiency using problem-solving and practical skills
  • Ability to establish trusting relationships through compassion, empathy, and insight
  • Demonstrated sensitivity to the needs of clients from diverse cultural or linguistic backgrounds
  • Good time management skills necessary to maintain timely record keeping
  • Candidate must possess appropriate citizenship work documentation
  • Candidate must pass a CORI and drug test, as well as other pre-employment documentation
