As a Senior Applications Administrator, you will oversee the management of current applications, facilitate the resolution of performance challenges, and drive ongoing process enhancements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leads a team in the administration of software applications while prioritizing various projects.
- Ensures that applications fulfill business objectives and meet user needs.
- Acts as a liaison with different departments to address performance challenges and improve applications.
- Coordinates feasibility assessments and provides guidance on software acquisitions.
- Implements process improvements and conducts application testing.
- Identifies issues, proposes solutions, and assists in software development and modifications.
- Evaluates user feedback, manages application updates, and oversees team members.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Prepares budget forecasts and manages contracts.
- Offers training and support as necessary.
- Completes assigned tasks and responsibilities.
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficient in various programming languages.
- Experienced with databases, operating systems, and web technologies.
- Familiar with open-source development frameworks.
- Competent in programming, problem-solving, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to lead project teams, manage priorities, and collaborate effectively.
Minimum Qualifications:
A degree from an accredited institution in information technology or a related field, along with six years of experience in applications programming.
Substitution:
Advanced studies or relevant experience may substitute for educational requirements.
Promotional Criteria:
- One year of service in related positions within the organization.
- Civil service status in the applicable classifications.
