POSITION SUMMARY:
As the Sales and Credit Operations Coordinator at Provident Bank, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Equipment Finance Credit Department. Your responsibilities will include entering new submissions into our system, generating credit reports, and liaising with brokers and bank personnel regarding these submissions. You will also maintain approval and funding logs while completing underwriting for application-only credit requests. This position requires collaboration with team members in a dynamic credit environment and interaction with colleagues across the bank who refer transactions to the Equipment Finance Department. Providing outstanding customer service to both our clients and the account servicing team is a fundamental aspect of this role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage new equipment finance applications, from application-only submissions to short-form credit analysis.
  • Collaborate with internal referral sources to prepare and submit new loan requests for credit evaluation.
  • Update departmental reports, including approval and funding logs, past due reports, and collection efforts.
  • Deliver exceptional service to our customers by addressing inquiries related to billing, payoffs, account restructuring, wire transfers, and other concerns.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Three years of relevant work experience.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe PDF; ability to quickly learn various web-based applications.
  • Strong research skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external customers.
  • Clear and concise writing abilities.
  • Ability to calculate monthly loan payments.
  • Capacity to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of customer data.
  • Ability to work independently.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate's degree.
  • Five years of relevant work experience.
  • Familiarity with Equipment Finance.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
This role involves administrative support activities, which may include prolonged sitting, lifting items weighing between 5 to 10 lbs, and occasional bending or overhead lifting.
