Responsibilities:


The Paramedic Technician is tasked with evaluating and providing basic management for medical, trauma, and environmental emergencies under the guidance of the nursing staff and/or physician.

This role involves assisting with patient care tailored to individual needs within the established scope of practice; maintaining a safe environment, and performing duties under the direction and supervision of the Emergency Department Registered Nurse or Charge Nurse.


Qualifications:
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent or relevant experience required for new hires.
  • Basic EMT Training or Emergency Room experience is essential.
  • Current BLS certification upon hire and must be maintained.
Facility Specific Requirements (may include the following):

  • Current ACLS certification required within 30 days of hire and must be maintained.
  • Current PALS certification required within 30 days of hire and must be maintained.
  • Certification/Licensure as an EMT by the state certifying agency/entity is mandatory.

Benefits may vary based on collective bargaining agreements and/or employment status, i.e., full-time or part-time. The current compensation range for this position is $22.43 to $30.19.

The specific starting compensation will be determined at the time of selecting a candidate for hire, taking into account various factors such as skill set, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
