Responsibilities:
The Paramedic Technician is accountable for the evaluation and fundamental management of medical, trauma, and environmental emergencies under the guidance of the nursing staff and/or physician.
Assists with patient care tailored to individual patient requirements within the scope of practice; aids in maintaining a safe environment and performs under the direction and supervision of the Emergency Department Registered Nurse or Charge Nurse.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
- High School Diploma or Equivalent or relevant experience required for new hires effective April 2014.
- Basic EMT Training or Emergency Room experience required.
- Current BLS certification upon hire and maintain current.
- Current ACLS certification within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
- Current PALS certification within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
- Certified/Licensed EMT by the state certifying agency/entity required.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which encompasses estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $17.82 to $24.49.
The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, considering a wide range of factors, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
