Position: Fiber to the Home Installer (FTTH)

Location: Greensboro, NC

Employment Type: Full Time

Compensation: $70,000 - $85,000 (approximately $40.87 per hour) - Component / Piece Pay.

We are in search of a qualified and proficient Fiber to the Home Installer (FTTH) to enhance our workforce. In this role, you will be tasked with the installation and upkeep of fiber optic cabling that delivers high-speed internet and various communication services to both residential and commercial clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install fiber optic cabling and associated equipment in residential and commercial settings.
  • Splice and terminate fiber optic cables in accordance with industry standards and company protocols.
  • Conduct testing and troubleshooting of fiber optic cables to guarantee optimal performance and functionality.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Comply with safety regulations while working at elevated heights and in confined spaces.
  • Adhere to company policies for the proper handling and maintenance of equipment.
  • Maintain detailed records of work completed, materials utilized, and time allocated to each task.
  • Stay informed about advancements in technology, trends, and industry developments related to fiber optic installation and services.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in fiber optic installation, telecommunications, or a related field is preferred. Experience with a telecom company or as a third-party installer/repair contractor is advantageous.
  • A valid driver's license and a vehicle capable of accommodating a ladder rack for transporting a 28' fiberglass telecom ladder. Compensation for vehicle use is provided on a per-job basis.
