Animal Care Specialist

This position serves on the Division of Animal Care Leadership team at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center. The incumbent is responsible for developing and delivering training on all aspects of animal care, safety, and departmental processes.
This position will also develop assessment and evaluation tools, which he/she will use to create training plans for staff to aid in their development.
Key Responsibilities• Develop and deliver training on animal care and safety
• Create assessment and evaluation tools for staff development
• Collaborate with the Division of Animal Care Leadership team
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree
• LAT Certification
• 4 years' experience in a laboratory animal facility
Preferred Qualifications
• CMAR Certification
