Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Therapist Assistant to join our team at Soliant. As a Speech Therapist Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide support to students with communication disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Screenings and Assessments: Conduct screenings and assessments to identify students with speech and language concerns.
  • Treatment Planning: Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans to address communication disorders and support students' educational goals.
  • Direct Therapy Services: Provide direct therapy services to students, focusing on articulation, language comprehension, fluency, and pragmatic skills.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication goals within the school environment.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, therapy sessions, and progress reports.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field.
  • Certification: Completion of a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) program accredited by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Licensure: State licensure or certification as an SLPA, or eligibility for licensure.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and school staff.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a school-based setting is preferred but not mandatory.
