Patient Services Associate Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage patient arrivals and departures, ensuring a smooth and efficient flow of patients through the practice.
  • Coordinate patient appointments, including scheduling, rescheduling, and canceling appointments as needed.
  • Handle patient calls and inquiries, providing accurate and timely information to patients and their families.
  • Update patient insurance and billing information, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform point-of-service activities, including collecting copays and signatures, and updating patient records.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure seamless patient care and service.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of medical office experience or 2+ years of customer service experience required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
