Medical Physics Specialist for Linear Accelerators

We are seeking a Medical Physics Specialist to join our team at Wellstar Health System, Inc. in a crucial role that combines clinical and technical expertise.
As a key member of our medical program, you will be responsible for providing medical physics support, performing acceptance tests on new equipment, calibrating Linear Accelerators and Simulators, and establishing new treatment protocols.
You will also verify patient doses using special techniques, supervise radiation safety and brachytherapy programs for therapy, and assist in Radiation clinical research projects.
Requirements- A Master's Degree in Medical Physics is required, along with 3 years or more of experience in Medical Physics Experience.
- Basic computer skills and extensive knowledge of math, radiation dosimetry, anatomy, and related modality are essential.
- Certification by ABR or board eligibility is necessary for this position.
The estimated annual salary for this role is around $110,000-$130,000, depending on location and experience.
