Radiologic Technologist CT Scanner Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Brigham and Women's Hospital (BWH). The successful candidate will be responsible for operating CT equipment, acquiring high-quality images, and contributing to the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate CT scanners, Power Injectors, Laser Printers, and other equipment to acquire diagnostic images.
- Prepare patients for exams, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Select appropriate imaging factors and image the designated portion(s) of the body.
- Deliver patient care under the scope of their license/training, maintaining ethical standards.
- Collaborate with departmental and hospital personnel to ensure effective working relations and communication.
- Calibrate and verify equipment operation, notifying appropriate personnel of malfunctions and required repairs.
- Perform venipuncture for contrast administration under the direction of a radiologist, following hospital and departmental policies.
- Attend staff meetings, in-services, and maintain CEU's to stay current with state licensure and A.R.R.T. requirements.
- May supervise and instruct personnel and technology students.
- Prepare equipment rooms and supplies for patient use and stock as needed.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology.
- Current Massachusetts State Radiologic Technologist license and A.R.R.T. registration or equivalent.
- Registered or eligible for certification in CT by A.R.R.T. or equivalent.
- 2-3 years' experience as a Radiologic Technologist, with at least one year in cross-sectional anatomy courses.
- BLS certification, obtained within one year of start of employment.

The successful candidate will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with frequent interruptions and changing priorities. They must be able to adapt to diverse roles and responsibilities within the department, while maintaining a positive attitude and professional appearance.
