About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer Student to join our team at Daktronics. As a student in our program, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable work experience while earning your degree.

As a Mechanical Engineer Student, you will be responsible for developing concepts and ideas for designs in Creo, fabricating prototypes using 3D printing capabilities, sheet metal forming, or other methods, and working effectively as a team member. You will also have the opportunity to make suggestions for designs, process, and product improvements.

Our student program provides students with an opportunity to gain valuable work experience while earning a degree. You will experience challenging and meaningful work, have a mentor who will challenge you to find solutions, take initiative, and develop a strong understanding of Daktronics products, practices, and procedures.

We are looking for students who are enrolled as a student and registered for at least 12 credits, pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related degree, and have a strong academic record. Responsibilities

Requirements
  • Enrolled as a student and registered for at least 12 credits

  • Available to work 15-20 hours per week during the academic year and up to 40 hours per week during the summer
