Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our team at EAPC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical design, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with architects, engineers, and clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work as an integrated member of a multi-discipline team of engineers, architects, and drafting technicians.
  • Use REVIT, AutoCAD, and BIM coordination software/plug-ins to create and edit project details.
  • Research design options and select equipment, layout duct, and piping.
  • Review shop drawings, research code issues, and ask general questions of code officials.
  • Keep the Project Manager informed of workload and any changes in project scope or services.
  • Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate mechanical engineering work on projects.
  • Perform construction management, as necessary, for projects during the construction phase.
  • Verify and interpret applicable codes and regulations.
  • Assist the Mechanical Department and Individual Project Managers with the development and management of project budgets, scopes, fees, and production coordination.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
  • Passed FE exam, or is on track to take within 6 months of hire.
  • 2+ years of experience preferred.
  • Experience or education in REVIT and AutoCAD.
  • Preference is given to experience with energy modeling software, preferably TRACE 3D.
  • Willingness to work occasional overtime to meet deadlines.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.

The position will report directly to the Sioux Falls Office Manager and will work as an integrated member of a multi-discipline team. Title and responsibilities will be determined by experience and licensure.
