Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a part-time Hourly Community Living Support Specialist to join our CILA Team. This role is vital for our programs in the Palos Hills and South Chicago areas.

Availability: Candidates must have flexible availability for shifts from 3 PM to 11 PM and 11 PM to 7 AM on Saturdays, with additional availability for Sundays and holidays as needed. A minimum of three shifts per month is required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Report maintenance needs to property management.
  • Conduct quarterly inspections of living spaces.
  • Coordinate annual inspections with local authorities.
  • Assist clients with meal planning, preparation, housekeeping, and personal care.
  • Supervise activities such as arts and crafts, cooking, music, hygiene, and life skills training.
  • Engage clients in social activities and accompany them on outings as necessary.
  • Document incidents and communicate client concerns to supervisors.
  • Be available for on-call emergencies and provide coverage for colleagues as needed.
  • Assist clients with physical tasks when required.
  • Provide training for new staff members.
  • Collaborate effectively with a diverse team and clientele.
Qualifications:

A High School diploma or equivalent is required, along with three years of relevant experience. Candidates must possess flexible availability for shifts on weekends and holidays as needed, and be able to work at least three shifts per month. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with individuals with physical and/or mental disabilities are essential.

A valid driver's license and vehicle insurance are required, as driving clients to appointments or grocery stores may be necessary.
