Job Title: Diesel Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at GFL Environmental. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for conducting repairs and preventative maintenance on our fleet of Diesel and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with Diesel and CNG vehicles.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
  • Test drive vehicles to ensure they are in safe and proper working condition.
  • Complete reports and work orders, and perform other administrative duties as required.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and maintain a clean work area.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in diesel/CNG maintenance.
  • Knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and other related state and federal regulations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and external vendors.
  • Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred.
  • ASE certifications preferred.
Physical/Mental Demands:
  • Ability to stand, sit, walk, use hands and fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, climb, balance.
  • Continuous concentrated mental and visual attention required.
  • Ability to operate trucks and other equipment used as needed.
