Job Title: Diesel Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at GFL Environmental. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for conducting repairs and preventative maintenance on our fleet of Diesel and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with Diesel and CNG vehicles
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
  • Test drive vehicles to ensure they are in safe and working condition
  • Complete reports and work orders, and perform other administrative duties as required
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and maintain a clean work area
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in diesel/CNG maintenance
  • Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred
  • ASE certifications preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and external vendors
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as safety rules and operating instructions
Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds. The ability to climb ladders and stand for long periods of time is also required.
