Key Responsibilities- Assess patients' nutritional status and develop individualized care plans
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to discuss patients' nutritional needs and provide education
- Modify menus for therapeutic diets and ensure conformance with dietary prescriptions and standards of quality
- Communicate with patients and families to provide dietetic counseling and education
- Participate in quality assurance programs and contribute to ongoing research and professional development
- Bachelor's degree in food science, nutrition, dietetics, or closely related field
- Completion of an approved Dietetic Internship or ADA-approved coordinated undergraduate program
- Current registration as a dietitian issued by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association
- Minimum one year of experience as a dietitian in a large acute-care hospital institution
