Position Summary:
We are in search of a proficient Computer Vision Engineer to enhance our capabilities.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in 2D image analysis, 3D spatial understanding, and bundle adjustment techniques, alongside experience in data gathering methodologies and statistical evaluation.
As a Computer Vision Engineer, your responsibilities will include the creation, debugging, and testing of computer vision algorithms to meet defined specifications.
You will also utilize simulation or test datasets to verify the performance of these algorithms. The developed algorithms will be essential for sensor calibration to facilitate machine perception functionalities.
The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional communication abilities, as collaboration with cross-functional teams will be necessary to outline data collection strategies and present analytical findings to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement computer vision algorithms tailored to specific requirements.
- Establish data collection strategies and oversee data acquisition for algorithm development.
- Conduct statistical evaluations and employ simulation or test datasets for algorithm validation.
- Debug, test, and validate algorithms to ensure superior quality outcomes.
- Develop geometric calibration algorithms, including SLAM camera calibration, eye tracking calibration, inertial measurement unit calibration, and other sensor modeling.
- Effectively communicate with cross-functional teams, comprising software engineers, hardware engineers, and data scientists.
- Engage in the design, development, and deployment of computer vision applications.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in computer vision engineering or a comparable field.
- Proficiency in C++ and Python programming languages.
- Experience with 2D image processing, 3D spatial geometry, and/or bundle adjustment techniques.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis methodologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
