Job Overview

Aramark is seeking a skilled Retail Food Service Manager to oversee retail food operations at a prominent hospital in Washington D.C. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership and operational skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the retail food service, including inventory management, warehouse management, receiving, ticketing, and distribution.
  • Work closely with the HR department to hire and train staff, ensure accurate staffing for events and store operations, and manage payroll budgets.
  • Develop and implement customer service programs and product knowledge initiatives to drive sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure accurate procedures for opening and closing the store, including accountability of cash and credit cards, and security requirements.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Verify and reconcile financial transactions, including sales and transfers of merchandise to and from the stores.
  • Lead periodic physical inventories and investigate any discrepancies.
  • Maintain effective relationships with clients and customers to drive business growth and satisfaction.

Requirements
  • 2-4 years of experience in retail food service management or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Point of Sale systems.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Experience with profit and loss (P&L) accountability and contract-managed service experience is a plus.
