Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Interior Design Professional to join our team at HOK Group, Inc. in Austin, Texas. As a key member of our interior design team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality design solutions that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform complex interior design assignments, receiving specific and detailed instructions on tasks required and expected results.
  • Work with the project team to assist in overall efforts of completing various project phases.
  • Develop innovative design concepts that are practical, aesthetic, safe, and conducive to intended purposes and functions.
  • Conduct programming efforts, including space planning, layout, and utilization of furnishings and equipment, lighting, and color coordination.
  • Coordinate color and material palettes and incorporate Integrated Sustainable Design solutions into projects.
  • Renders conceptual design ideas and prepares 2D and 3D presentation/design drawings.
  • Prepare and conduct client presentations and prepare, correct, and update documents during schematic design and design development phases.
  • Solicit bids and assist Project Manager and client in subcontracting fabrication, installation, and arrangement of materials, finishes, and furnishings required.
  • Communicate with other disciplines, vendors, and contractors to ensure incorporation of all information into project requirements and provide support as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in interior design or foreign equivalent.
  • 5+ years' experience in interior design or a related field.
  • LEED credential required within 6 months of employment.
  • Portfolio documenting professional and/or academic design work.
