Plant Operations Financial Leader

The Plant Controller is a key financial leader responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of plant operations. This role requires a strong background in accounting, financial analysis, and operations management, coupled with a CPA certification.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Planning and Budgeting: Develop and implement annual and long-term financial plans for the plant. Prepare and manage detailed budgets for various plant operations, including production, maintenance, and administrative expenses.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements. Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and potential risks.
- Cost Accounting: Implement and maintain effective cost accounting systems to track and analyze product costs. Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
- Financial Analysis: Perform financial analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning. Evaluate the financial impact of proposed projects, investments, and initiatives.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations, including property taxes, sales taxes, and income taxes.
- Internal Controls: Develop and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard assets and prevent fraud.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and other regulatory requirements.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification required. Minimum 5+ years of experience in a plant controller or similar role. Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting standards. Excellent financial analysis and reporting skills. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle). Strong leadership and communication skills.
