Job Summary

Meridian Health Services is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team in Mooresville, Indiana. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing professional medical care to behavioral healthcare patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take vital signs and weight
  • Administer injections
  • Assist healthcare providers
  • Pass medications
  • Answer phone calls
  • Greet clients
  • Update patient information
  • Fulfill insurance paperwork and prior approvals
  • Assist with referrals, admissions, and laboratory referrals
  • Screen phone calls and assist with problem calls
  • Give TB tests for employees
  • Dispose of contaminated supplies
  • Fax and phone in patient medications to pharmacies
  • Maintain confidentiality and use good judgment

Requirements:

  • Medical Assisting Diploma required
  • Certified Medical Assistant with six months to 1 year experience in a clinical setting preferred
