Job Summary

Nationwide Children's Hospital is seeking a skilled Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a Travel RRT, you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team of healthcare professionals and provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care to patients of all ages, from infants to adults, in various settings, including pediatric and adult ICUs, pediatric and adult step-down units, and pediatric and adult wards.
  • Develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans, taking into account the unique needs and goals of each patient.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and other therapists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Conduct pulmonary function tests, including spirometry, peak flow measurements, and arterial blood gas analysis.
  • Perform bronchoscopies, including rigid and flexible bronchoscopy, and other diagnostic procedures as needed.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to respiratory care.
Requirements
  • Current RRT certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • Current Ohio State or Compact RN license.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist, preferably in a pediatric or adult ICU setting.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
