Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our team at Partnership Resources, Inc. As a key advocate for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities, you will play a vital role in supporting their choice, encouraging life-long learning and development, and fostering community engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement activities that promote life skills and engagement through recreation, socialization, and community involvement.
  • Accompany individuals on field trips and to volunteer sites, assisting them to explore and connect with their community in an inclusive way.
  • Support a caseload of individuals, maintaining communication with their home or family, completing daily documentation, and participating in care team meetings.
  • Use person-centered strategies to help individuals achieve their goals and self-advocate.

Requirements:

  • No experience necessary. All training is provided.
  • Multilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply.
  • Must be able to pass a background check with the MN Department of Human Services.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without a sponsor visa.
  • Minimum age requirement is 18 years.
  • Must be able to regularly push/pull/lift 21-50 pounds.
  • Ability and willingness to assist individuals with activities of daily living.
  • Ability or willingness to learn basic computer and technology skills.
