Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate activities with plant personnel, engineers, and program managers to ensure timely delivery of materials and products.
  • Monitor and control inventory levels, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of materials and goods.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize transportation costs, improve supply chain efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and contractors to negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with quality and delivery standards.
  • Develop and implement procedures for coordination of supply chain management with other functional areas, such as sales, marketing, finance, production, and quality assurance.
  • Manage activities related to strategic or tactical purchasing, material requirements planning, inventory control, warehousing, or receiving.
  • Analyze information about supplier performance and procurement program success.
  • Develop and implement procedures or systems to evaluate and select suppliers.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify or qualify new suppliers.
  • Implement new or improved supply chain processes.
Requirements
  • At least 7 years' experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive.
  • At least 5 years working in Supply Chain Management.
  • Experience with strategic sourcing.
  • Extensive knowledge in Supply Chain and Materials Management.
  • Knowledge in daily operational and high-level production environment of sourcing, including significant interaction with Accounting, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; preferably in Logistics/Supply Chain Management or Business Management.
Technical/Computer Skills
  • SAP experience is a strong asset.
  • Knowledge of ASN, EDI, Material Handling, inventory, and logistics.
  • Shipping and Receiving experience preferred.
  • Able to work with clients, vendors, and contractors.
  • Complete understanding of the MS Office Suite.
