Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient imaging services in accordance with physician orders. Your primary focus will be on ensuring patient safety and providing excellent testing services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform quality images through the use of clinical protocols and positions patients to best demonstrate anatomic areas of interest.
  • Develop films in accordance with proper radiographic techniques and evaluate images for technical quality.
  • Provide patient education on all procedures according to age-specific needs and facilitate patients' cooperation and alleviate anxiety.
  • Verify appropriate procedures to be performed by checking physicians' orders and contact physicians if there are any discrepancies.
  • Ensure all appropriate documentation is completed prior to procedures.

Requirements:

  • Minimum one (1) year of direct experience in nuclear medicine.
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in a hospital setting.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certificate - Radiography required at hire OR Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certificate required at hire.
  • Basic Life Support required at hire.
