Radiology Services Manager

Job Summary:

The Imaging Manager is responsible for leading a large multidisciplinary department with over 35 headcount in a Level III Medical Office Building. This role oversees all operations, with greater than 60% of employees reporting directly to the Imaging Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage operations, including FTE and NPE budgets, approving PTO, securing backfill, and managing supply orders.
  • Cascade regional and departmental messages to employees, research and resolve member concerns, and partner with internal customers to improve workflows.
  • Manage employees, including performance reviews, development, and FMLA submissions.
  • Oversee equipment failures, document issues, and communicate with leadership and call centers.
  • Identify trends in exam and patient needs, draft business cases, and submit capital cases.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum five years of experience as a radiologic technologist, sonographer, mammographer, or nuclear medicine technologist.
  • Minimum three years of experience as a radiology supervisor with direct reports, annual reviews, hiring, and terminating employees.
  • Graduate of an accredited diagnostic imaging program or Bachelor's Degree with four years of experience in a directly related field.
  • Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certificate, Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certificate, Radiologic Technologist Certification, or Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certificate from Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with hospital regulatory requirements, hospital accreditation, and imaging accreditations.
  • Ability to recruit, mentor, develop, and engage staff, monitor performance standards, deliver results, and hold staff accountable.
  • Effective communication, collaboration, and change management skills.
  • Financial management skills.
