The Office of Emergency Management is pivotal in orchestrating and devising the university's response, recovery, and operational continuity, while also adhering to industry benchmarks and best practices through continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and sustain Individual Building Emergency Plans (BEPs) for campus structures
  • Collaborate with diverse departments to fulfill accreditation standards
  • Oversee the comprehensive Emergency Response Plan for the institution
  • Establish protocols and programs for efficient emergency management
  • Conduct regular emergency drills and training sessions
  • Engage in after-action evaluations to refine emergency management practices
  • Maintain partnerships with external emergency response organizations

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience
  • A minimum of five (5) years in emergency management
  • Exceptional communication skills across all organizational levels
  • Expertise in NIMS and HSEEP
  • Strong leadership and teamwork capabilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree

Essential Requirements

  • Valid US driver's license
  • Successful completion of a background check
  • CPR certification
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and certifications in emergency management
