Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Trauma Care Coordinator to join our team at WVU Medicine. As a key member of our trauma care team, you will play a critical role in coordinating trauma care management across the continuum of trauma care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate trauma care management across the continuum of trauma care, including planning and implementing clinical protocols and practice management guidelines.
  • Monitor care of in-hospital patients and serve as a resource for clinical practice.
  • Develop and disseminate educational programs for emergency healthcare professionals to gain competence in injury/violence prevention.
  • Participate in research selection, analysis, and distribution of findings.
  • Communicate and interact with patients, families, visitors, physicians, and hospital staff in a professional and compassionate manner.
Requirements
  • Current unencumbered licensure with the WV Board of Registered Professional Nurses or appropriate state board.
  • Obtain certification in BLS, ACLS, and PALS within 30 days of hire date.
  • Three years of trauma clinical experience in an Emergency Department or Critical Care setting.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • CEN or CCRN certification
