Pallet Repair Specialist - Logistics and Distribution

**Salary and Benefits**

**Job Description**

In this role, you will be responsible for safely and securely repairing pallets at a rate that meets company standards and in a manner that meets company safety standards. This will involve operating a pry bar to detach damaged boards from the pallets, using a hammer, grinder, and saw to remove existing nails, and nailing together the components using a 25 lb nail gun. You will also be responsible for manually lifting 70 lb pallets from a stack to a repair table and ensuring that all pallets meet and pass CHEP's quality control audit.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a high school diploma or equivalent, as well as 0-1 year of experience in carpentry or construction. You will also need to be able to comprehend basic math, operate power tools in a safe manner, and follow repair processes. Additionally, you will need to be able to twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level, and crouch on a frequent basis, as well as use proper techniques to lift a minimum of 75 lbs.

**Other Responsibilities**

In addition to the responsibilities listed above, you will also be responsible for maintaining a clean, neat, and orderly work area, conducting operations in a manner that promotes safety, and complying with OSHA and MSDS standards. You will also be required to wear all safety equipment while repairing pallets.

**Location and Travel**
