Job Summary:

Applied Medical is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Production Manager to lead our production team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the production process, ensuring timely and accurate manufacturing of medical devices, and driving process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Management: Lead and supervise a team of 10-20 production associates, ensuring they adhere to safety protocols and quality standards.
  • Production Oversight: Monitor and manage the production processes to ensure timely and accurate manufacturing of medical devices.
  • Training and Development: Train new team members on production procedures, safety guidelines, and quality control measures.
  • Communication: Facilitate effective communication between team members and other departments to ensure smooth operations.

Performance Objectives:

  • Within the first 60 days:
    • Complete all Applied Learning foundational courses with a passing grade of 95% or above.
    • Review process documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
    • Shadow experienced team members to observe and learn about day-to-day operations and learn the production processes.
    • Systems, Applications, and Products in Data Processing (SAP) training encompassing both practical, hands-on experience and computer-based instruction.
    • Observe, interact, and build relationships with the team.
  • Within 90 days to one year:
    • Successfully lead the pre-shift meeting by clearly communicating the day's production goals, safety reminders, and key priorities.
    • Build relationships with cross-functional teams such as Facilities, Planning, Engineering, and other critical teams.
    • Become the subject matter expert and liaison between all teams.
    • Absorb direct reports and its responsibilities, complete reviews, and provide consistent feedback.
    • Demonstrate knowledge of KPIs and drive improvement projects.

Requirements:

  • Must be available to work either a 1st shift (5:00 am-1:30 pm) or 2nd shift (1:00 pm-9:30 pm).
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Read, write, and speak in English.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds often.
  • Ability to work in clean rooms and lab environments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Preferred:

  • Applicants should have two to three years of experience in leadership roles.
  • Experience leading a team within a manufacturing environment.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address challenges in the production process.
