Oncology Nurse Specialist

Atrium Health Charlotte is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join its Oncology team. As a key member of the healthcare team, the successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and diagnosing patients, implementing treatment plans, and coordinating care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patients' individualized treatment plans and identify expected outcomes.
- Implement treatment plans and coordinate all aspects of care delivery.
- Provide education and counseling to patients and family members regarding health needs, healthcare activities, and medication effects.
- Meet specific clinical needs of oncology patients by utilizing knowledge and expertise.
- Recognize medication incompatibilities and factors affecting stability.
Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing required.
- BSN preferred.
- Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner in the state of North Carolina required.
- Oncology experience preferred.
- Proficiency in IV therapy, bone marrow, spinals, thoracenteses, paracenteses, and phlebotomy preferred.
- Oncology certification preferred.
- BLS required per policy guidelines.
