Atrium Health Charlotte is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join their Oncology team in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Job Summary

As an Oncology Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing and diagnosing patients in a practice setting, identifying outcomes, implementing treatment plans, and coordinating care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess patients' health needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Implement treatment plans and coordinate all aspects of care delivery.
  • Provide education and counseling to patients and family members regarding health needs, healthcare activities, immunization requirements, medication effects, and contraindications.
  • Meet specific clinical needs of oncology patients by using knowledge and expertise.
  • Recognize medication mix-ups and factors affecting stability.

Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing required.
  • BSN preferred.
  • Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner in the state of North Carolina required.
  • Oncology experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in IV therapy, bone marrow, spinals, thoracenteses, paracenteses, and phlebotomy preferred.
  • Oncology certification preferred.
  • BLS required per policy guidelines.
