Customer Service Representative

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Receptionist to join our team at Cypress Palms. As a key member of our administration department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our residents, visitors, and callers.
Key Responsibilities- Greet and assist visitors, residents, and vendors in a courteous and professional manner.
- Answer telephone calls, determine the nature of the call, and direct the caller to the appropriate individual or department.
- Respond to requests from within the community, identify and locate appropriate personnel, and maintain resident information.
- Exercise discretion in releasing information to maintain confidentiality and privacy.
- Identify security concerns and notify the supervisor or proper authorities.
- Assist with administrative duties, including typing, copying, filing, posting accounts, sorting mail, ordering supplies, and mailing out doctor's orders.
- Maintain a clean and professional work environment.
- Ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and accept constructive criticism.
- Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
- Ability to work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and potentially hostile people within the facility.
- Ability to speak, write, and understand English in a manner sufficient for effective communication with supervisors, employees, residents, and families.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience in a clerical position or successful completion of a secretarial science program from an accredited school/college.
The Receptionist will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. The position requires the ability to move freely through the building and to perform tasks that involve standing, sitting, and walking.
The Receptionist will be required to work in a variety of positions, including standing and sitting, and will be expected to move freely through the building to meet residents' needs.
The Receptionist will be required to use a variety of equipment and tools, including computers, personal communication devices, and business office equipment.
The Receptionist will be subject to physical conditions, including extreme temperatures, noise, wet and/or humid environments, and vibration.
The Receptionist will be subject to workplace hazards, including blood, body fluids, and/or infectious disease, hot water, mechanical, electrical, chemical, and gasses.
