Job Title: Director of Operations

At Marsden Services, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Operations to lead our daily operations and drive business growth. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our operations, including sales, quality, compliance, and account management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with our customers to ensure retention and growth.
  • Monitor and improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost for our operations.
  • Implement processes aligned with our strategic initiatives and provide clear direction and focus.
  • Collaborate with our sales teams to achieve mutual operational and sales goals.
  • Work closely with our HR and legal departments to drive labor compliance and ensure adherence to our Operating Standards.
  • Conduct regular operations staff and training meetings to ensure alignment and growth.
  • Interview and recommend supervisory staff for open positions.
  • Monitor operations and initiate corrective actions for abnormalities.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous improvement and remove production constraints.
  • Regular travel to support customers and expand our business throughout the territory.
  • Use our Microsoft Office-based cost management system to audit bi-weekly budgets for all assigned accounts.

Requirements:

  • Progressive leadership experience in a multi-site service-related industry.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, labor, and expense management.
  • Demonstrated strong leadership, team building, and coaching skills.
  • Visionary leader with the ability to inspire respect and trust and mobilize others to fulfill our vision.
  • Highly motivated and results-oriented with an exceptionally high sense of urgency.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills with the ability to identify and solve complex problems.
  • Provides superior customer service and is highly detail-oriented.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Growth-oriented and entrepreneurial with a strong desire to drive business growth.

Education and Experience:

  • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in commercial janitorial, facilities services, or similar service-based/multi-site industry.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience in a mobile role with responsibility for a decentralized workforce across multiple site locations.
  • 4-year degree in Business Administration or related field highly preferred.
  • Ability to travel regularly across the Eastern Washington region.
