Job Summary

The Imaging Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Imaging Department, ensuring that services are timely, progressive, and provided with a high level of quality. This position requires strong leadership and management skills, as well as a thorough knowledge of imaging procedures and techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and direct the daily operations of the Imaging Section
  • Assist in the staffing of the Imaging Section to ensure adequate staffing levels with competent personnel
  • Consult with the Director of Imaging on a regular basis regarding section operations and recommend changes in Imaging policies
  • Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, regulations, and standards that apply to the functioning of the Imaging Section
  • Assist with preparation of department budget and control expenditures
  • Oversee the Quality Improvement Program for the Imaging Department and direct change in operating procedures as necessary
  • Recommend improvements of the physical structure and equipment in the section
  • Assist in overseeing the safety program of the Department
  • Supervise assigned staff to provide quality, progressive, and timely imaging services
  • Coordinate the review of qualified applicants, interview, and recommend best-qualified person(s) for appointment
Requirements
  • Minimum 1.5 years of progressively responsible professional imaging technologist/specialist experience
  • Minimum 2 years of progressively responsible administrative work experience in Diagnostic Imaging Services, Special Procedures Services, and/or Cardiovascular Services
  • Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience, including planning, organizing, and directing the work of others
  • Bachelor's degree from an approved program recognized by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) or 4 years of experience in a directly related area
  • Nuclear Medical Technologist Certification (Hawaii) or Radiographer License (Hawaii)
  • Basic Life Support within 6 months of hire or CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers within 6 months of hire
