Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Systems Specialist to join our team at the Devens site. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and troubleshooting process automation systems, including hardware, PLC, and BAS systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement process automation systems, including hardware, PLC, and BAS systems
  • Provide technical expertise to other team members and support the development of automation systems
  • Review and audit automation systems design and procurement by A&E firms
  • Collaborate with construction personnel to ensure successful installation and startup of automation systems
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering, or Associate's degree in Electronics or Instrumentation
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in engineering or 6 years in instrumentation, with a focus on process automation systems
  • Practical experience with large-scale distributed control systems, including troubleshooting foundation fieldbus networks and DeviceNet segments
  • Knowledge of Ethernet networks, Modbus TCP, and Ethernet IP, as well as IO infrastructures such as Foundation Fieldbus, DeviceNet, and Profibus
  • Ability to work with construction personnel and provide technical support during installation and startup
