As a Triage Nurse, you will provide essential clinical support to patients within the physician practice, ensuring continuity and quality of care under the guidance of the physician.

Key Responsibilities:

1.

Proficiently operate or learn to operate essential medical equipment, including but not limited to: Pulse Oximeter, Ear Syringe, Cryosurgery Instruments, EKG machine, Nebulizer, Portable Oxygen tank, sphygmomanometer, and other clinical tools.

2.

Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care to patients.

3.

Utilize Electronic Health Records effectively.

4.

Perform phlebotomy as required.

5.

Operate basic laboratory equipment, conducting tests and documenting results accurately.

6.

Obtain prior authorization for medications, tests, and procedures as needed.

7.

Stay informed about the current vaccine schedule as designated by the CDC.

8.

Schedule surgical procedures efficiently.

9.

Triage incoming clinical inquiries and messages from patients.

10.

Maintain an accurate inventory of medical supplies.

Education Requirements:

An Associate's degree is required, while a Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Certification Requirements:

A valid Registered Nurse license in North Carolina (or a compact state) is required.

Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
