Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and design new thermoplastic materials and processes for consumer packaging applications.
  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams, suppliers, and equipment manufacturers to solve complex problems and enhance product performance for customers.
  • Provide expertise and recommendations on manufacturing equipment required to support current business needs and enable capability for future growth.
  • Manage the technical integration of projects to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Generate new ideas to support the R&D product innovation and technology strategy.
  • Cultivate an environment that motivates and engages others in the R&D organization to achieve desired results.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures to protect all employees.

Requirements:

  • At least 7 years of relevant experience with a strong technical background in plastics manufacturing and processing.
  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Polymer Science (B.S./M.S.).
  • Proficiency in resins, additives, coatings, and laminates.
  • Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment with a proven track record of leading capital projects in collaboration with OEMs and suppliers.

Travel Requirement:

Up to 30%, mostly domestic.
