Job Overview:

Hiring Range From: $21/hour +

The Patient Registration Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring a seamless transition for new patients into Option Care Health services, aiming to provide a consistent onboarding experience that assures patients and referral partners that transitioning care is straightforward and efficient. This position collaborates closely with Sales to prepare patients for OCH services and manages all aspects of the patient's transition to home/alternate infusion sites.

Working Hours: M-F 8-4:30 OR 8:30-5

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with patients, referral sources, sales teams, pharmacy, and nursing to coordinate discharge and secure nursing and delivery services.
  • Generates, communicates, and acquires all necessary documentation for new referrals.
  • Facilitates upfront payment from patients, assisting them in exploring financial assistance options when necessary.
  • Supports ongoing efforts to ensure clean claims management and denial resolution by following up on missing paperwork.
  • Assists the Patient Registration Supervisor and Manager with special projects as required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Basic Education and Experience Requirements:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

A minimum of two years of relevant experience is required.

Essential Qualifications:

Ability to manage multiple tasks and support various referrals/priorities simultaneously.

Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality.

Excellent customer service skills are essential.

Ability to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional team members across sales and operational functions.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience in healthcare or medical billing is preferred.

Compensation:

Due to state pay transparency laws, the full range for the position is outlined below:

Salary will be determined based on the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
Pay Range: $19.19 - $31.99
