Position Overview: This role is for a Supplier Quality Assurance Specialist (SQAS) collaborating with various suppliers involved in complex product development. The successful candidate will engage in performance evaluation metrics, supplier audits, and support core team initiatives across all SQAS functions.


The chosen candidate will be responsible for working closely with leadership at supplier locations and within the organization to address technical and contractual challenges, ensuring alignment with the quality and cost-effectiveness objectives established by the programs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyze supplier performance metrics.
  • Conduct audits focusing on Foreign Object Damage (FOD) and Counterfeit Parts Protection.
  • Participate in control builds and core team projects.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to resolve quality-related issues.


Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or a related Master’s degree with no prior experience required.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Willingness to travel approximately 10-25% within the United States.


Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with Quality Management Systems, including ISO and AS standards.
  • Experience in conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions related to supplier performance.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent communication abilities.


Security Clearance: This position necessitates a government security clearance; candidates must be U.S. citizens for consideration.

Work Environment: This role offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing for a combination of remote work and on-site responsibilities at designated facilities. Specific weekly schedules will be discussed during the hiring process.


Work Schedule: Lockheed Martin provides various flexible work arrangements, including a 4x10 hour schedule, allowing for three days off each week.
