Position Overview:
This role is integral to the LM Aero Supplier Quality Management (SQM) team, functioning within the LM Aero Quality & Mission Success organization and reporting directly to the SQM Special Processes Manager.

Role Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will serve as a Senior Special Process Test Engineer, collaborating with various suppliers that manufacture components for multiple LM Aero initiatives.

Key Objectives:
  • Conduct surveillance and risk evaluations at numerous special process facilities.
  • Facilitate long-term defect mitigation and
elimination strategies to consistently decrease the costs associated with poor quality in procured products.

  • Ensure ongoing compliance of subtier suppliers with
contractual quality standards relevant to LM Aero products.
The individual will be responsible for engaging with senior leadership at supplier locations and within LM Aero to address technical and contractual challenges, ensuring alignment with the quality and cost-effectiveness goals established by LM Aero programs.

Travel Requirements:
This position necessitates travel ranging from 50% to 75% of the time.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline from an accredited institution with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or 7 years of equivalent experience/combined education.
  • Experience in special processes or Materials and Processing (M&P) Engineering.
  • Willingness to travel 50%-75% of the time.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in auditing
  • Proven track record in managing subtier suppliers
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Experience in delivering presentations to leadership and clients
Security Clearance:
This position requires a government security clearance; candidates must be US Citizens for consideration.
