Job Description

Anchor Talent & Consulting has partnered with a leading engineering firm to hire an MEP Electrical Engineer in San Antonio, TX. In this role, you will be working with the MEP team to provide Electrical designs for a commercial site. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working onsite, have experience working on commercial projects specifically with wastewater industry and is experienced with Revit Software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating with Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing designs, estimates and surveys, and technical specifications for commercial constructions projects
  • Work to design and administer RFI and RFQ for construction organizations
  • Conduct surveys reviews, field observations, client informational reports, hold meetings with architects, facility owners and team members
  • Prepare electrical designs and illustrations of using Revit
  • Working with multilayered projects to develop illustrations and designs
  • Be involved in root cause analysis, metrics, and accountability for projects
  • Maintain communications and work cross functionally with other teams

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably with an ETI or PE
  • 1-3 years of experience working with design in a commercial construction and engineering industry as well as experience Mechanical, Electrical Plumbing (MEP) and additional contractors architects and wastewater personnel
  • Ability to show proficiency with Revit and its reporting tools
  • Proven experience with Root Cause Analysis, and ability to communicate with all levels of commercial property owners, vendors, governing bodies and team members about electrical design, and wastewater treatment plans
  • Experience administering construction based RFIs with specific field commitments
  • Seeking someone with wastewater, industrial and wastewater treatment plans experience as well as the design of fire alarms
  • Working knowledge of NECS, requirements, JUA, Competitive Bid Procedures, and NFPA certifications
  • Prefer experience with Power Distribution, up to date standards of NEC, IECC as well as OSHA, and ETAP design
  • Able to work autonomously as well as with a team and strong analytical skills

  • Must have a valid form of identification and current driver license
  • Ability to perform a pre-employment drug and background screening
  • Ability to work in the United States as this client is not able to offer sponsorship
