Job Summary

We seek a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Orthopedic Unit team at Richland Hospital. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in providing high-quality patient care, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering compassionate care.

Responsibilities
  • Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Physician, provide direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and documenting patient information.
  • Assume responsibility for data collection, ongoing monitoring, measuring, and documentation of patient responses, as well as providing patient and family education.
  • Perform additional patient care functions, as delegated by the Registered Nurse or Physician, such as maintaining accurate medical records and treating patient records as confidential.
  • Orient patients and families to room and unit routines, administer and document administration of medications per policy, and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an LPN program recognized by the SC State Board of Nursing is required.
  • A minimum of one year of experience as an LPN is preferred, but may be substituted with successful completion of the Prisma Health Nurse Residency Program or a comparable residency program.
  • Licensure to practice as an LPN in South Carolina is mandatory.
