Physician Assistant

Unity Health Care seeks a skilled Physician Assistant to join our team. As a clinical specialist, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the organization's mission to improve health outcomes, patient experience, and financial sustainability.
Key ResponsibilitiesHealth Outcomes
- Provide patient care, health services, and other provider duties in a safe and compliant manner
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans
- Perform preventive health maintenance and education, and refer patients to specialists when needed
Patient Experience
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure a welcoming and patient-centered environment
- Provide culturally competent care, using translation services when necessary
- Timely in all patient-facing duties, including visits, phone calls, and notification of test results
Care Team Well-Being
- Embody a team mentality, building trust, exchanging feedback, and showing appreciation for team members
- Teach and coach staff members to work at the top of their ability
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of safety
Financial Health
- Monitor productivity and utilization levels, working with leadership to optimize visit volume
- Promote access to care by collaborating with medical director and staff
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and workflow in daily operations
Qualifications
- Current DC Professional License; CDS and DEA registrations if a prescribing provider
- Graduate of an accredited school of medicine or nurse practitioner, physician assistant, or other relevant professional school
- Board eligible or board certified/licensed in area of specialty; must be board certified/licensed within one year of hire
