The Role

We are seeking a Public Relations Director, Finance to join our team. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in the financial industry, including proven media relations with top mainstream media outlets in the U.S.

This is an opportunity to take on a role as a strategic advisor and partner to clients, deliver executive-level PR strategies, uncover compelling narratives, and help teams secure top-tier press. You will work alongside senior leaders to manage accounts, projects, budgets, and teams in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute media relations strategies in the financial, financial services, and Fintech space
  • Craft compelling narratives and media pitches using excellent writing skills and creative vision
  • Provide direct counsel and serve as a media expert and valuable partner to clients
  • Pitch and place financial clients in top-tier media outlets
  • Manage client relationships and deliver exceptional results
  • Lead and manage teams to achieve strategic objectives
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in journalism, communications, or a related field
  • 7+ years of media relations, journalist experience, or agency experience with demonstrated success of media placements
  • Excellent news judgment, creative ideas, and writing skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Exemplary follow-through and execution skills
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to adapt to new methodologies
  • Excellent communication, organizational, writing, and presentation skills
