The Night Auditor is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of hotel financial transactions. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:- Conduct nightly audits of financial transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing.
- Verify and reconcile hotel accounts, including guest folios and room charges.
- Prepare and distribute daily financial reports, including revenue and expense summaries.
- Monitor and control hotel security, including access control and surveillance systems.
- Provide exceptional guest service, responding to guest inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with other hotel departments, including front desk, housekeeping, and food and beverage, to ensure seamless operations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including guest information and hotel operations data.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management, including special projects and initiatives.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in a related field preferred.
- At least one year of experience in a hotel or related field, with a focus on accounting and financial management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests, colleagues, and management.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on providing exceptional guest service.
