Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a dedicated Bridge Maintenance Technician to oversee the upkeep of bridge structures. This role involves performing essential maintenance tasks to ensure the safety and functionality of bridges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct landscape maintenance activities, including mowing, applying herbicides and fertilizers, controlling weeds, and performing seasonal clean-ups.
  • Maintain stormwater drainage systems on bridges and manage slopes effectively.
  • Execute general maintenance tasks, such as removing litter and debris.
  • Carry out concrete repairs on sidewalks, bridges, and overpasses.
  • Work at heights on and beneath bridges, utilizing appropriate safety gear.
  • Repair asphalt pavement by filling and patching potholes and other surface issues.
  • Implement Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) and temporary traffic control measures.
  • Respond to emergency incidents during scheduled on-call rotations.
  • Perform inspections before and after trips.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on company vehicles and equipment.
  • Operate various mechanical equipment, including edgers, blowers, and forklifts.
  • Drive company vehicles, towing trailers and equipment as necessary.
  • Document maintenance activities and work orders both manually and electronically.
  • Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment safely.
  • Utilize all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid Driver's License is essential.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and carry up to 25 lbs. regularly.
  • Capable of walking, standing, or sitting for extended periods.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
  • Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Experience in roadway operations, construction, utilities, or landscaping preferred (2+ years).
  • Must be able to obtain MOT certification (training provided).
  • Successful completion of pre-employment screenings required.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US.

Preferred Skills:

  • CDL A license.
  • Experience with heavy equipment operation.
  • MOT Certification.
  • Agricultural Pesticide Applicator's License.
  • Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles.

Work Environment:

This position primarily involves onsite work.

Compensation:

Salary range: $19/hr - $22/hr, based on qualifications and experience.
