Job Summary

Job Title: Grounds Maintenance Specialist

Job Type: Full-time and Part-time

Location: Charleston, SC and other locations within the school district

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service by delivering one-on-one attention to detail and ensuring a high level of satisfaction among customers.
  • Inspect common areas and report any deficiencies to the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure a safe and clean environment.
  • Inspect the exterior of the property and grounds and report any deficiencies to the Maintenance Supervisor to maintain a well-manicured appearance.
  • Maintain lawns by mowing weekly during the proper season and cleaning landscaping tools and equipment after each use.
  • Trim bushes to maintain a neat appearance and desired shape.
  • Weed flowerbeds weekly or more often if needed to ensure a visually appealing environment.
  • Shovel exterior walkways during wintery weather and salt or sand icy walkways as needed to ensure safety.
  • Contribute to the team by facilitating good customer interactions and exhibiting professionalism with customers, fellow employees, and others with whom there is contact.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth operation of the facilities.
Requirements
  • Valid Non-CDL Class C driver's license is required.
